Five women were killed and 20 more people injured in a head-on collision between two buses at Mokamtala Kashipur on Bogra-Rangpur highway in Shibganj upazila on Wednesday afternoon.
Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Sub-inspector Shamim Akter, in-charge of Mokamtala police camp, said a bus collided with another bus coming from opposite direction in the area around 12.30pm, leaving five women dead on the spot and 20 others injured.
On information, police and fire fighters rushed to the spot. –Bogra, Oct 5 (UNB)
