5 die in Ctg Shipyard explosion

A total of 5 people died in the blast at Sitakunda Ship breaking yard. Currently, those who are under treatment, their condition is also said to be critical.
On Saturday last around 12 noon, an explosion occurred during the cutting work in the pump room of the scrap vessel at the shipyard of SN Corporation owned by Shaukat Ali Chowdhury located on the Shitalpur coast of Sonaichari Union. 12 people were burnt and seriously injured.
8 of them were admitted to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka.A young man named Barkat Ullah (35) died in the ICU of the institute on Saturday around 6:30 am. He is the youngest child of Haji Ayub Ali of Dark village in Kashiyaish Union of Potiya.
