5-day Ijtema ends with Akheri Munajat

On the banks of the Turag River in Tongi, the five-day Ijtema organised under the leadership of the Shura-e-Nizam of Tabligh Jamaat Bangladesh ended with Akheri Munajat.

From early Tuesday morning (December 2), hundreds of thousands of devout Muslims from Dhaka, Gazipur, and neighboring districts gathered at the Ijtema ground to participate in the prayers. The supplication started at 8:51 AM and ended at 9:13 AM, led by Maulana Ahmed Batla from Pakistan.

Habibullah Raihan, the media coordinator of Tabligh Jamaat Bangladesh Shura-e-Nizam, stated that this year’s Joor Ijtema hosted 732 foreign guests from 27 countries.

According to organisers, after the prayers, thousands of the Chilla Jamaat and 3 Chilla Jamaat departed on January 2, 3, and 4 for the preparation of the Khuruj Joor, departing in the way of Allah. Other attendees returned to their local areas for community work and to prepare for the upcoming Joor.

It is notable that according to government decisions, the World Ijtema is scheduled to take place after the upcoming national elections.
