The Ministry of Public Administration has issued a new notification canceling the previous one issued on October 15 regarding appointments in the 43rd BCS. As a result, 168 candidates have been excluded from various cadres.
Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) recommended 1,896 candidates who have been appointed to various cadres of the Bangladesh Civil Service. These candidates are required to join their respective positions by January 15, reads a notification issued by the ministry on Monday.
On October 15, the public administration ministry issued a gazette for the recruitment of 2,064 candidates in the 43rd BCS. From that gazette, 168 candidates have now been excluded in the new notification.
Among those excluded, 26 candidates are from the administration cadre, three from the foreign affairs cadre, and eight from the police cadre.
Initially, the BPSC recommended 2,163 candidates for cadre positions in the 43rd BCS on December 26 last year. However, in the gazette issued on October 15 after a 10-month delay, 99 candidates were excluded.
With the latest exclusions, a total of 267 candidates have now been left out of the 43rd BCS.
