A poor farmer’s 400 ducks were poisoned from which fifteen were killed. The rest of the ducks got survived by the farmer’s efforts before reaching the poisoned area. The incident took place on Friday in a land leased by Aminul Islam on the north side of Kairail Bazar in Khutigacha Mohalla of Tarash Municipality of Sirajganj District.
The victim duck farmer said, like every day, on Friday morning, I saw ducks on my leased land. Later, when I went to give duck food, a woman from the neighboring house found the ducks dead and went to the market and told the shopkeeper. She called me and said that your duck is dying. Later I found 15 ducks dead. Someone has put poison under the bridge of the leased land. Out of 400 ducks, 15 ducks that ate the poison died.
If all the ducks ate the poison, and they would all die.
I am drawing the attention of the authorities to find out who or who wanted to kill my duck of 2 lakh 40 thousand taka.
In this regard, the local ward commissioner Md. Hasinur Rahman said, I have heard the matter. Whoever killed the duck with poison did not do it right.
