The Fisheries Department conducted an operation on allegations of fishing by throwing prohibited nets in PatulSonaPatila Bill and Gumani River under Dilpashar Union under BhanguraUpazila of Pabna on Wednesday,. At this time, 40 banned nets named China Duari were seized. Upazila Fisheries Officer Nazmul Huda said that its estimated value is Tk. 2, 00,000.

Upazila Fisheries Extension Officer Ali Azam said, the operation was conducted with the help of police under the leadership of SI Rabiul Islam of Bhangura police station on Wednaesday noon. He said that the seized nets were burnt in the Upazila Parishad field.
