4- tier security for Eid -ul Azha jamaat at Sholakia

The country ‘s largest Eid ul Azha Jamaat will be held at historic Sholakia Eidgah ground on Eid day at 9 am.

All preparation have been completed. Islamic shoaler Mufti Moulona Abul Khair Md.Saifullah will led the prayer at the198 th Eid Jamaat.

The first Eid Jamaat was held at 1828 on this ground. Moulona Syed Ahammad was the first Imam to conducted the Eid Jamaat, attended about 125,000 devotees.

Dewan Hybat Khan, the sixth generation of Empayor Isha Khan, ruler of Bengal donated near seven accers land.

The Administration have arranged a four-tier security system to ensure the safety of worshippers. The Police, Army, RAB, BGB, and intelligence agencies deployed to the security efforts, said Deputy Commissioner, also District Magistrate of Kishoreganj, Fouzia Khan.

DC Fouzia Khan, Acting SP Mukit Sarkar, ADM Jesmin Akhter, RAB-14,Kishoreganj Camp Commonder Squadron leader Md.Ashraful, Additional SP(DSB) Mahamudul Islam and others dignified officials were visiting the Eidgah ground on Wednesday.

Two special trains, named Sholakia Express, will operate to facilitate worshippers’ travel.
Acting Police Super( SP) Mukit Sarkar said that, extensive measures are in place to ensure security and smooth Eid congregation. The entire grounds and its surroundings will be under a security blanket.

A bomb disposal unit will be stationed at the Eidgah.

Ambulances and Fire services remained standby round the clock for emergency calls, Acting SP Mukit Sarkar added.

As per tradition, six blank shots from a shotgun will signal the timing of the congregation.
