A mobile court in a drive fined four shops at Sher-e-Bangla Market in the city for storing banned polythene bags worth Tk 6,500 on Tuesday.
The Department of Environment (DoE) conducted the drive. DoE sources said the mobile court led by executive magistrate Abul Kashem Muhammad Shahin raided Babul Poly Packaging Store, Jalal Enterprise, F Haque Hosiary & Packaging and Shakil Store at the market in the evening.
