Four people have been killed in a train-minibus collision in Chittagong. The minibus was carrying garment factory workers. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of police Md Shahidullah said the accident occurred around 8am on Tuesday at a level-crossing near the Janalihaat railway station. A Chittagong-bound train smashed the bus – on its way to Kalurghaat area from the city – as it tried to clear the level-crossing, leaving four dead on the spot. The identities of the dead are yet to be confirmed. One of the injured passengers, Sweety Akter, has been admitted to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital. The bus was said to have been carrying workers of Base Textile, situated in the Kalurghaat Industrial area.
