Fatima Bosch, crowned as ‘Miss Mexico’, has won the 74th Miss Universe title. The 25-year-old surpassed 120 contestants from around the world to claim the crown. Last year’s winner, Victoria Keir Theilvig, crowned Fatima on stage.
Overwhelmed with emotion after receiving the crown, Fatima was seen crying as she hugged the other contestants.
After her victory, she said, “No woman of the 21st century can remain a puppet. I am here to represent all the women of the world.”
Fatima was born in Santiago de Teapa in the Tabasco state of Mexico. She studied fashion design in Mexico.
In September 2025, she won the title of ‘Miss Universe Mexico’, becoming the first woman from Tabasco to achieve the honor.
Following this win, she went viral on social media-her Instagram followers surpassed 990,000, and her TikTok following reached 690,000.
The Miss Universe organization has not yet officially announced how much prize money Fatima will receive. However, winners typically get 250,000 USD, which is roughly 3 crore taka.
The 2024 winner, Victoria Keir Theilvig, also received 250,000 USD. Fatima will receive a monthly allowance of 50,000 USD (about 60 lakh taka), which she can use for travel and various activities.
The crown she received is valued at 5 million USD (approximately 61 crore taka). In addition to cash prizes, Fatima will also get a luxurious apartment in New York City.
