A total of 33 Deputy Commissioners (DCs) – who served as returning officers during the 2018 national parliamentary election – have been transferred and assigned to the position of officer on special duty (OSD).
The Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday has issued six separate notifications in This regard.
These officials, who were serving as joint secretaries in various ministries, had previously served as district commissioners and returning officers in the controversial 2018 national elections.
Previously, 12 other officials had also been transferred to OSD for the same reason.
