The 31-point plan announced by BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman is a blueprint for restoring democracy and people’s voting rights in Bangladesh, said Chattogram City Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain.
The mayor made this comment while handing over the calendar of the 31-point program to Chattogram Metropolitan BNP joint convener and former councilor Niaz Mohammad Khan at the mayor’s office on Sunday (August 3). Dr. Shahadat said that it is not possible to fulfill the dreams of the people in the existing state structure.
Therefore, Tarique Rahman gave 31 points on the basis of discussion with everyone.So that radical political, economic and social changes can be brought about. Radical change in the country is possible only through the 31 points of BNP.
He called on leaders and activists at all levels to remain united in implementing the 31-point program. Present at the event were former president of Chattogram South Agrabad Ward BNP, Faizul Islam, convener of North Pathantuli Ward BNP, Md. Abdul Halim, BNP leader Rafiq Member, joint convener Abdul Mannan, member Abdul Azim, BNP leaders Moslem Uddin, Sirajul Haque, Anu Mia Babul, Jubo Dal leader Md. Zahed and others.
