Police in separate drives picked up 30 youths in a compromising position from two hotels in the city’s Uttara area on Sunday night.
Of them, six young girls and eight youths were detained from one residential hotel, while eight young girls and eight youth nabbed from another hotel in the area.
The Nila Hotel’s detainees are Happy, Nusrat, Latifa, Kaman, Hasina, Zannat, Rezaul, Mahfuz, Biplob, Dipu, Enamul, Mosharef, Hiru and Mostafij. The other detainees are Khushi, Mukta, Shiuli, Lima, Sathi, Sonia, Nupur, Ayesha, Hazrat, Badshah, Nuruddin, Saiful, Sabbir, Mainuddin, Akash, and Rabiul, Police said.
Shah Alam, Inspector (Operation) of Uttara West Police Station, said, “A Police team raided the hotels on information that some youths gathered there for sexual intercourses by paying high charge to the hotel authorities and picked up them.”
