30 hurt in clash over football match in Bhairab

At least 30 people were injured in a clash between two groups over a football match in Tulakandi village of Bhairab upazila, Kishoreganj, on Tuesday afternoon. Several houses were also vandalized during the incident.
According to locals, two teams had gathered to play a football match at the Tulakandi Eidgah ground. A dispute broke out during the game, which escalated into an hour-long chase and violent clash between the groups.
The injured were admitted to Bhairab Government Hospital and various private clinics in the area for treatment. Bhairab Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Khandaker Fuad Rouhani confirmed the incident. He said: “Upon receiving the information, police rushed to the scene and brought the situation under control. Legal action will be taken based on the complaints received.”
