3 unnatural deaths take place in Bagerhat

Some three unnatural deaths were taken place in the different places of Bagerhat Bagerhat during the last one week, according to reports received.
Abdus Salam (35), a day labourer met his tragic end when he fell under a big log of a tree at Town Noapara Mor (a crossing point) of 3 Highways within Piljanga Union under Fakirhat Upazila in Bagerhat district at the time of unloading the log wood from the van on Saturday (April 12) in morning.
It is learnt from the police and some eye-witnesses that in the morning some 4 labourers lifted a big log of wood on a van from Piljanga area (near at a shop belonging to one Balai) and took the same to Town Noapara Mor (the place of occurrence) and when they were trying to unload the same from the van, somehow, ill-fated Abdus Salam fell under the log wood and died on the spot.
On information the Highway Police of Katakhali rushed to the spot and recovedred the dead body.
Deceased was the son of one Abdul Latif Shaikh of village Sayedpur within Khanpur Union under Bagerhat Sadar Upazila.
Abdur Razzak Mir, Officer-in-charfge of Fakirhat Model PS confirmed the mater and told, after the completion the legal proceeding of the dead body it was handed over to family members.
Another report states that a bicyclist was killed on the spot on Dhaka-Khulna Highway at Rajpat-Sonakhali Mor (turn) under Fakirhat Upazila in the district on Sunday (April 13) when he was ran over by 2 unidentified vehicles one after another coming from his behind.
Being informed of the matter police and a fire service unit rushed to the spot from Fakirhat and recovered the dead boddy. After the preparation of the spot verification report the dead body was handed over to the family members.
The unfortunate cyclist was identified as Atiar Rahman (45), son of one late Immam Uddin hails from Jatrapur area under Bagerhat Sadar Upazila and an employee of Bismillah Feed Mills under Fakirhat Upazila.
On the day he was returning home from the Feed Mill by a bicycle and met the tragic end. But the killer vehicles could not be seized.
A report was received from Mongla that a floating, unidentified and almost decomposed dead body of a woman was recovered from Monglap-Ghasiakhali international channel by the Naval Police of Mongla on Sunday (April 13).
