Chattogram Bureau :
Three warships of Russian Navy ‘Admiral Tributes’, ‘Admiral Panteleyev’ and a fuel tanker have left Chattogram port after a three-day goodwill visit.
The ships left the port on Tuesday (November 14). These three ships arrived in Bangladesh on November 12.
During the visit, the captains of the three ships paid a courtesy call on Commander Chattogram Naval Region, Commander BN Fleet and Chairman of Chattogram Port.
Apart from this, the officers and sailors of the three visiting ships visited Bangladesh Navy warships, Bangladesh Naval Academy, Navy’s training centre ‘School of Maritime Warfare’ and and ‘Ashar Alo’ school established by the Navy for children with special needs.
Besides, friendly football and basketball matches were held between the members of the Russian Navy and the members of the Bangladesh Navy.
As the three ships left Bangladesh, a joint exercise was held with the Bangladesh Navy in the Bay of Bengal.
Through this visit of the Russian ships, the officials and sailors of the navy of the two countries will improve their professional standards and the bilateral relations between the navies of the two countries will be strengthened.
