Three protesters were injured when they attempted to break through police barriers at Bangabhaban, demanding the resignation of President Mohammad Shahabuddin. The incident occurred around 9:30 PM, leading to heightened tensions as police and military personnel intervened.
Protesters Faisal Ahmed Vishal (24), Shafiqul Islam (45), and a 20-year-old named Arif were reported injured by sound grenades and shotgun fire. Shafiqul stated, “As we tried to enter, police suddenly opened fire and threw sound grenades, resulting in injuries to several of us.”
The injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment.
