Bagerhat, Mar 12 (UNB) – Three workers died and many others were feared got trapped as the roof of an under-construction factory collapsed in Mongla Port area on Thursday. Police Super of the district Md Nizamul Haque Mollah confirmed that three bodies were recovered from the debris of the collapsed building. Deputy Commissioner of Bagerhat M Jahangir Alam said the roof of the under-construction cement factory of ‘Sena Kalyan Sangstha’ collapsed around 1:30 pm. On information, firefighters, members of Bangladesh Navy, Coast Guard and local people rushed in and rescued 50 people from the building. The rescued people were taken to Mongla Upazila Health Complex.
