Health officials said they recorded 409 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts killing at least three persons in the past 24 hours on Sunday.
“During the period, (of the 409) 72 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division while 72 in Chattogram division, 67 in Dhaka division excluding the capital, 54 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and 32 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas, 28 in Khulna division, 11 in Mymensingh division, 51 in Rajshahi division, 16 in Rangpur Division and four in Sylhet division,” a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement said, reports BSS.
The dengue last year claimed 575 lives and inflicted 1,01,214 people in the country.
