Bangladesh Applied Nutrition Research and Training Institute (BARTAN) regional office at Gafargaon, Mymensingh, under the leadership of Nettakona, a 3-day training on food-based nutrition (applied nutrition) was held by the BARTAN part of the project to strengthen food and nutrition security through agricultural development. The training started last Tuesday (September 24) and ended on Thursday (September 26) at Rostam Ali Golandaz High School in Gafargaon Municipal area. The training was implemented under the supervision of Dr. Mosa: Altaf Un-Nahar, Senior Scientific Officer and Regional Head of Bangladesh Applied Nutrition Research and Training Institute (BARTAN) Regional Office, Netrakona.
A total of 60 trainees participated in the training in two batches in two rooms. The trainees include upazila sub-assistant agriculture officers, teachers, upazila social service officers, upazila youth development officers, upazila women affairs officers, information officers, NGO workers.
