A three-day International Conference on Public Health began at Rajshahi University (RU) aimed at discussing and devising ways and means on how to improve public health.
The Health Research Group of the Department of Statistics at RU organized the first conference at the department conference hall.
Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Golam Sabbir Sattar addressed the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest with Group Convener Prof Golam Hossain in the chair.
Science Faculty Dean Prof Shahed Zaman, department chairman Prof Rezaul Karim and group member Prof Monimul Haque also spoke on the occasion, reports BSS.
In his remarks, VC Prof Golam Sabbir said emphasis should be given on research for transforming Bangladesh into Smart Bangladesh envisioned by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina by 2041.
