3-day art camp starts in Barishal

Three-day art camp organised by Charukala Barishal has started on Friday on the occasion of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin’s 110th birth anniversary in Barishal. This three-day art camp, titled “Joinul’s Water Paintings”, was organised by CharukalaBarishal morning at the traditional Ganguli Barishalhouse on Hospital Road area in the city.
Forty student-artists from Barishal and Jhalokathi regions participated in this art camp.
The art camp was conducted by renowned artist Tapas Karmakar. The second day of the art camp held on Saturday at Padma Pukur on Bandh Road area in the city. Later, on Sunday December 29, certificates will be given to all the participating artists at the Mukta Mancha of the District Shilpakala Academy.
Anik Dey, a student participating in watercolor, said that through this workshop, the experience of working in nature outside is really beautiful.
Workshop director, Tapas Karmakar said, such arrangements enrich the students. We are organizing this to remember Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin.
Through this, students will be able to learn about the country’s heritage and nature, Tapas added. Dipankar Chakraborty, President of CharukalaBarishal, said that Charukala organizes such arrangements every year.
Through this, students are given an idea about their own area and nature, he said.
