Actresses Runa Khan, Mehazabien Chowdhury and Tanjin Tisha have come under criticisms for different reasons recently. They appeared at an award ceremony and responded to these criticisms.
Actress Runa Khan went to the special screening of movie ‘Priyo Maloti’. At the end of the screening, she hugged the director Shankha Dasgupta and the actor Shahjahan Samrat while congratulating him.
When the moment of hugging Shahjahan Samrat went viral, Runa Khan was subjected to the sarcasm of the netizens. Many people mocked Runa’s clothes.
While talking in this regard, actress Runa Khan told this correspondent, “Positivity and negativity are everywhere. Many times because of the angle of the camera, many things seem to be visible. Whatever comes next, however it comes, that shot looks spectacular. The same has happened in the case of viral videos.”
Clearing her position, Runa Khan said, “We really liked watching ‘Priyo Maloti’ film. So, those who went to see the movie that day, I couldn’t hug the director and the two main artistes. And the actor of this movie, Samrat, is my longtime colleague. The theatre workers who are called for minor roles early in their careers; when such actors act in the lead role of a movie, I hope actors who act in small roles like me will understand that feeling. He will understand my feelings towards Samrat. Even if no one else in the world understands.”
Mehazabien Chowdhury made her debut on the big screen with ‘Priyo Maloti’.
Mehazabien is watching her first movie sitting on the steps of the cinema hall – a picture that was going viral on social media.
Then many people criticised this actress.
Narrating the events of that day, Mehazabien said, “My seat was right in front. An important scene was going on while going there. So, instead of walking in front of everyone, I was waiting for the scene to end. Someone took a picture of that moment and posted it on Facebook. Now it seems, what did I do wrong after sitting on the stairs without bothering the audience?”

In a recent event, Tanjin Tisha said, “When something is written about an artiste without knowing the truth or falsehood, does anyone ever think what goes over her? Acting is an artiste’s profession. But beyond that she has a personal life. Her parents are there, other family members are there. Negative headlines, false news affect them. Three years ago my father died. I still have a hard time accepting the loss of my father. I still have a hard time accepting the loss of my father.
