Today, October 20, marks the second death anniversary of retired Bangladesh Army officer Major Mohammad Javed Hasan (Retd.). He passed away in Dhaka from a heart attack on this day in 2023.
On October 22, 2023, after the funeral prayer at the central mosque of Dhaka Cantonment following the Zuhr prayer, he was buried with full military honours at the Army graveyard in Banani, says a press release.
During his distinguished military career, Major Mohammad Javed Hasan served in the 111th Infantry Brigade, School of Military Intelligence (SMI), DGFI, Rapid Action Battalion, Bangladesh Rifles, and Headquarters of the 24th Infantry Division.
He also served successfully as a member of the United Nations peacekeeping forces in Kuwait and Ivory Coast. Additionally, he received specialised training from the British Royal College of Intelligence.
After voluntarily retiring from the Army on April 1, 2012, he served as General Manager (Admin and HR) at Desh Energy Limited until his death.
His family requests prayers for the mercy of his soul.
