UNB, Faridpur :
A 21-year-old youth’s body was recovered underneath a bridge in Faridpur’s Bhanga upazila on Friday.
The deceased was idnetified as Sourav Malo, a student of Nagarkanda Mahabiddalay.
Md Ziarul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bhanga Police Station, confirmed the matter.
Sourav’s cousin, Sujan Malo said, he was on his way home from Dhaka on Thursday. His phone was out of reach after 5:00 pm.
His family informed Bhanga Police Station that he went missing and kept searching for him.
Locals spotted his body under the Bhanga bus-stand bridge on Friday morning. On information, police recovered the body.
There are signs of injury on his head, said the OC.
THe body will be sent to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College (BSMMC) morgue for an autopsy, added the police official.
