About 21 secondary schools and madrasas have been opened hygienic corner for female students in Bhanguraupazila of Pabna. Earlier, girls in these educational institutions had to face various obstacles during their periods due to their normal physiological process. At that time, medicines or necessary materials were not available. Therefore, the upazila administration has arranged this hygienic corner in every secondary school to protect the health of female students.

Abdul Hakim, headmaster of Momtaz Mustafa Ideal School in the upazila, said that a shelf in the hygienic corner, under the supervision of a female teacher, has been kept with necessary medicines and materials. So that girls can get quick service from here.

Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md. Atiquzzaman said that female students should stay clean and eat healthy food during their periods. They also need to get adequate rest and relaxation. For this, hygienic corners have been introduced in 21 secondary schools on the initiative of UNO NazmunNahar.

UpazilaNirbahi Officer NazmunNahar said that girls face problems due to lack of adequate facilities in schools during their normal physiological processes. Many girls suffer by keeping the matter under wraps and are at risk of health. Due to this, some are absent from school for two/three days. This severely affects their studies. To overcome this situation, hygienic corners have been introduced. The upazila administration is providing necessary furniture, medicines and sanitary materials to these corners.
