Hundreds of vehicles with passengers and goods are moving very slowly on Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu bridge highway due to long tailbacks from early Sunday (Aug 01), causing immense and untold sufferings to the passengers.
Traffic congestion on the highway has been on the rise since the government announced its decision to resume public transport from 8 pm on Saturday (July 31) to 12 pm on Sunday (August 1), resulting in the 20-km long tailback.
Meanwhile, passengers and drivers of vehicles are suffering due to the tailback, especially, women and children are in extreme distress.
