Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-12 in a raid at Ramarchar area near New Rupali Restaurant on the Dhaka-Rajshahi highway under Solongga thana arrested two drug peddlers along with 214 gram of heroin on Tuesday.
The arrestees are: Mozibur Rahman, 55, son of late Abdus Sattar of Roadpara and Alam Hossain, 45, son of late Imran Hossain of Batanpara village in Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila.
According to the instruction of RAB-12 Commander Maruf Hossain, a team conducted an anti-drug drive at the mentioned place and arrested the duo along with the heroin.
The arrestees were handed over to the respective thana police and a case was lodged there, said M Abul Hashem Sabuj, Sadar Company Commander of RAB-12 in a press briefing.
