Two farmers have been died after being electrocuted while working on their land in Kuliarchar upazila of Kishoreganj. The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon in Tarakandi village under Ramdi union of Kuliarchar upazila.
The deceased were identified as Shahabuddin (70) of Tarakandi village, and Majnu Miah ( 60) at East Tarakandi village in kuliarchar.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kuliarchar Police Station, Md.Helaluddin confirmed this incident.
OC also said that Shahabuddin and Majnu Miah were ploughing the land next to their house with a tractor around noon. At that time, a wire from a rural electricity transmission line snapped and fell on them. When the two tried to remove the wire, they were electrocuted and died on the spot. Legal proceedings are underway in this incident.
