2-day long ‘Career Fest’ kicks off at DU

The two-day long career fest organised by the Dhaka University Career Club (DUCC), one of the biggest voluntary organization run by the university students aims to assist the students in their career development, was started at DU’s Teacher-Student Centre (TSC).
The fest titled ‘Career Fest 5.0’ kicked off by the inaugation of DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Niaz Ahmed Khan and will continue till today to bring together students, graduates, and industry leaders.

After the inauguration of the fest, prof Niaz Ahmed hoped that the students will get the effective guidance and advice from the fest and will be able to develop themselves as skilled human resources.

“We have several limitations. It is not possible to mobilize sufficient resources and resolve crises by relying only on the government. Accepting this reality, we have to strengthen our relationship with the society. In this regard, we have to strengthenindustry-academia relations for the development of the university,” he stated.

However, a number of 25 notable companies from the country and also abroads including Guardian Life Insurance, Apex Footwear, Meghna Group of Industries, IFAD, Bengal Group, Daraz, Shimanto Bank, Jotun Paints, Marico, Ikigai HR Services, Walton, United Finance, Singer Bangladesh, Liberty, Global Reach Education, Crown Cement, Ispahani Tea, New Zealand Dairy, Hawk Consultancy, Nebs IT Solution and among others participated in this event.

Those cmpanies have set up stalls inside the TSC and were providing guidelines to the students. They were aslo selling different products in their respective stalls.
