The 2 Armed Police Battalion (2 APBN) and Bangladesh Police Commander (Additional DIG) Md Qutub Uddin, under the guidance of 2 APBN’s Cyber Crime Cell, have gathered reports from victims across various districts and upazilas. These reports, which were sent via social media platforms like Facebook, Messenger, e-mails, WhatsApp, etc, detail incidents of lost mobile phones and funds mistakenly transferred to bKash accounts.
2 APBN, Cyber Crime Cell, with the help of advanced information technology of APBN Headquarters, Uttara, Dhaka, recovered 50 (fifty) lost mobile phones of various companies and Tk 12,400 of 01 mistakenly transferred to bKash account.
Later, in the presence of the Commander of 2 Armed Police Battalion, 2 APBN, Muktagachha, Mymensingh, 50 (fifty) lost mobile phones of various companies recovered under GD No.-81, dated 26/03/2025 AD and Tk 12,400 mistakenly transferred to bKash were handed over to the real owners in the presence of the Commander of 2 Armed Police Battalion, 2 APBN, Muktagachha, Mymensingh’s Ops and Intelligence Branch.
At that time, Police Inspector (Unarmed), In-charge, Cyber Crime Branch, Police Inspector (Unarmed) (Administration and Additional Duty BQM), SI (Unarmed) Operations and Intelligence Branch and ASI (Unarmed) in-charge of Cyber Crime Cell were present.
