A joint operation by the Narayanganj District Detective Police (DB) and Fatullah Model Police Station led to the arrest of 19 gamblers in the Masdair area of Fatullah. The operation, conducted late Thursday night at around 12:30 AM, took place at Munnar’s residence near the Masdair Pakapul area. During the raid, the police seized four bundles of playing cards and cash amounting to 19,430 Taka.
The arrested individuals are Md. Kamrul Mondal (40), Md. Motaleb (28), Md. Rafiq (36), Md. Enamul (38), Md. Roman (40), Md. Harun (38), Md. Tanzil (25), Md. Azim Ali (37), Md. Ashraful (36), Md. Raju (28), Md. Arif (32), Md. Mamun (35), Aminul Islam (30), Md. Tanim (28), Md. Alal (45), Kabir Hossain (50), Md. Shahjahan (36), Md. Ataur (55) and Shanto (19).
Confirming the incident, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shariful Islam of Fatullah Model Police Station stated that legal proceedings against the detainees are underway.
