A Barisal court on Tuesday rejecting bail prayer ordered to send 19 leaders and activists of BNP to jail as accused in a case of ransacking a AL office in Barisal Sadar upazila pre-election violence.
Court sources said, Aminul Islam Mamun Bepari, Mainul Islam Rubel, Rubel Akan, Abdur Rashid Fakir, Yunus Molla, Manowar Hosen Jewel, Khalil Haoladar, Moslem Haoladar, Kamal Hossain, Md. Kamal, Alamgir Sharif, Manik Fakir, Alauddin Kala, Anwar Hossain, Swapan Bepari, Ripon Bepari, Sumon Bepari, Farhad Molla, Riaz Molla, BNP leaders and actovists of Bukhainagor ward under Sadar upazila were accused for setting fire on local AL office on February 23, 2014 late night before Barisal Sadar upazila election of February 27.
 Khandokar Zakir Hossain, organizing secretary of ward AL, lodged a case in this connection with Barisal Kotwali police station on February 24 accusing aforesaid 19 local BNP leaders and activists by name 20/25 unnamed.
 The 19 accused BNP leaders and activists of that case on Tuesday surrendering before the chief metropolitan magistrate court appealed for bail.
