JU Correspondent :Jahangirnagar University (JU) administration has suspended 16 activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) over a factional clash that left 10 of them injured on Thursday.Assistant Proctor Mehdi Iqbal told the reporters, “University Syndicate committee took the decision in a meeting on Thursday night upon recommendation made by the disciplinary committee.”An investigation committee has been formed to probe the incident. Students’ Welfare and Advisory Centre Director Prof Rasheda Akhter will head the committee, said the assistant proctor.”The probe committee has been asked to submit its report within seven days. We will file cases against those, who will be found involved with the vandalism,” he said.At least 10 students were injured in a clash between the two groups of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), Maulana Bhashani Hall unit of JU, over establishing supremacy on the campus on Thursday.
