The Ministry of Education has formed a committee of 14 members to finalise the progress of the implementation of the new curriculum and its evaluation system.
The information about the formation of this committee was informed in an office order signed by Syed A Z Morshed Ali, Deputy Secretary of Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry on Tuesday.
The committee will be responsible for reviewing and providing recommendations on the implementation and progress of the National Curriculum Framework-2021.
It will also review and recommend finalisation of the evaluation system, including public examinations.
Additionally, the committee will review and provide recommendations on textbook development, revision, and modification, as well as any other issues related to the new curriculum and textbooks.
The committee has been directed to hold at least one meeting per month and, if necessary, more than one meeting. The committee is also authorised to co-opt expert members or members as needed.
The 14-member committee will be headed by the Additional Secretary (Development) of the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education as the Convener.
The Joint Secretary (Secondary Education Branch) of the Secondary and Higher Education Division will be the Member Secretary.
The committee members will include the Director Generals of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education Maushi, Directorate of Technical Education, and Directorate of Madrasah Education, the Chairman of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB), the Joint Secretary (Secondary-1) of the Secondary and Higher Education Division and others.
