134 BNP leaders, activists sent to jail in many cases

Several Metropolitan Magistrate courts of Dhaka yesterday sent 134 leaders and activists of BNP to the jail in different cases filed with different police stations of the capital.

Of the 134, 50 were sent to the jail in cases filed with the Ramna Model Police Station under the Explosives Substances Act.

Besides, Chhatradal Joint General Secretary Qazi Zia Uddin Basit was placed on a three-day remand in a case.

It has been learnt that the accused people include- Abu Sayeed Md Rayhan, Rubel, Jasim Uddin, Nurul Amin, Main Uddin, Liton Miah, Arshad Ali, Sultan Mahmud, Shahidul Islam, Golam Mostafa, Jahangir, Amzad Hossain, Mahbul, Kamal Hossain, Liakat, Sayeed, Sohel, Ashraf Hossain, Mofazzal Hossain, Ali Akbar, Monsur Talukder, Manjil, Muniruzzaman, Tanjil, Motaleb, Anwar Hossain, Haider Ali and Sekender Ali.
