As previously announced, the senior women booters did not come to practice on Saturday morning. British coach Peter Butler conducted a training session with 13 footballers at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Saturday morning, with 18 others declining to train under the SAFF Championship winning tactician.

Butler remained focused. “I am working with the players I have. The work will continue,” he stated.

Butler, however, expressed confidence that reinforcements from the Under-20 team would join soon. “Under-20 players will come in, and they are ready to serve the country,” he said.

The head of the BFF women’s committee, Mahfuza Akhter said, “We are continuously working to bring the girls back. We want them to remain in the camp, continue training, and play. That is our only objective.”

“We have explained everything we needed to from our side. The president is also involved, and an investigation committee has already been formed. I am hopeful that a positive outcome will be achieved.”

The players who trained on Saturday are: Afeida Khandaker, Shaheda Akhtar Ripa, Kohati Kisku, Munki Khatun, Sapna Rani, Surma Akter, Irene Parvin, Akalima Khatun, Surovi Akanda Prity, Zainab Begum, Arpita Bishwas, Halima Khatun and Yearzan Begum.
