12hr gas supply disruption in parts of Dhaka this evening
NN Online:
Gas supply is anticipated to be disrupted for 12 hours starting on Monday evening in a wide area of the capital due to maintenance work on the gas transmission line at the Demra City Gate Station (CGS), managed by GTCL.
The work will affect the downstream network connected to Titas Gas’s CGS Demra.
According to a statement from Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company PLC, the repair work will result in low or severely low gas pressure for all categories of consumers in areas including Demra, Matuail, Shyampur, Rayerbagh, Dholairpar, Sayebad, Shanir Akhra, Shahjahanpur, Khilgaon, Bashabo, Motijheel, Rampura, Badda, Malibagh, Gulshan, Banani, and other nearby neighborhoods.
The disruption will last from 6pm on Monday to 6am on Tuesday. In some areas, gas pressure may drop to zero during this period, the company warned.
Titas Gas has apologised for the temporary inconvenience and urged customers in the affected areas to plan accordingly.
