Atleast eleven passengers from Barisal and Jhalakathi districts traveling on capsized Pinak-6 launch are still missing in the list of 137 missing passengers.
After contacting with police sub-control room opened at Mawa Ghat it was learnt that 6 passengers of the capsized launch from Barisal and 5 from Jhalakathi districts still remained missing.
Among them Mizanur Rahman, 40, son of Akkel Bepari from Barakota of Wajirpur, Moina Begum, 25, wife of Shahid Sardar from Vurghata of Gournadi upazila, her two sons Al-Amin ,8, and Toufiq, 2, Seikh Ali Hossain, 35, son of Sheikh Shafi from Khaminarbug and Zakir Hossain, 24, son of Sirajul Islam from Bakerganj upazila reported as remained missing.
On other hand Rafikul Islam, manager Brac bank Narisha branch of Dhaka Dohar police station, his wife Fatema Begum and four-year old daughter Tina, from Jhalakathi district still missing as passengers of capsized Pinak-6 launch .
Although dead body of Pinaki-6 passengers Farhad Akand, 26, son of Luthfar Rahman Akand from Kathalia of Jhalakathi recovered, but still his wife Rupali Begum, 22, seven-month old daughter Arzu remained missing, sources said.
