Accordingly, Hajj flights from Bangladesh will start on May 22 .1 lakh 19 thousand 486 people have registered to go for Hajj this year. Among these, the largest number of pilgrims have been registered in Dhaka district. Chittagong is in the second position.
10,000 people from Chittagong district will go to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj. In 2023 .As a result, the number of pilgrims has increased by two thousand. It is known that the Hajj flight from Chittagong may start on May 22 Along with Bangladesh Biman, Saudi Arabia-based Saudi Airlines will operate Hajj flights from Dhaka.
Only Bangladesh will transport 10 thousand passengers from Chittagong. No foreign airline is likely to operate Hajj flights from Chittagong.
Hajj Agencies Association Chittagong Chairman Shah Alam said that the number of registrations in Chittagong has increased due to the 9-point time extension. We had expected 12,000 people to register, but that didn’t happen because of cost overruns. However, the registration numbers are satisfactory.
According to Bangladesh Biman sources, Hajj passengers will be transported by 20 direct flights from Chittagong Shah Amanat Airport. Hajj flights are starting from May 22.
Among these, 14 flights will run on the Jeddah route in Saudi Arabia from Chittagong, 6 flights will run on the Chittagong-Madina route. As a result, Haj pilgrims from Chittagong are now getting the opportunity to travel directly to Jeddah and Madinah.
