One person was killed and two others critically injured in a hit-and-run incident on Dhaka’s Airport Road early Thursday, police said.
The accident took place around 12:30 AM in front of the Maasranga Television office, confirmed Assistant Sub-Inspector Jaane Alam, duty officer at Banani Police Station.
The injured were initially taken to Kurmitola General Hospital before being transferred to the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR), commonly known as Pongu Hospital, for advanced treatment.
A video posted by Facebook user Sifat Biswas in the group “Carhub” claims that a black Toyota CHR struck the victims and then sped away from the scene.
