The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) organised the “ICMAB HR Meet: An Evening with Our HR Colleagues” held at the Lakeshore Grand Hotel in the capital on Monday.
The event aimed to strengthen collaboration between HR professionals and Cost & Management Accountants (CMAs), focusing on how this cooperation can drive organizational success and contribute to national economic development.
Over 150 HR leaders from diverse industries attended the event, where they discussed the strategic role CMAs play in enhancing business performance and sustainability.
The event also emphasized the importance of empowering young professionals with career opportunities, thus promoting long-term growth across Bangladesh’s industries.
Mahtab Uddin Ahmed FCMA, President of ICMAB, presided over the session.
In his speech, he emphasized ICMAB’s commitment to providing a world-class curriculum for students and ensuring that its members, who hold leadership positions in both domestic and international organizations, are globally recognized.
He urged HR leaders to hire local, talented CMA professionals, recognizing the competitive advantage and cost optimization it brings to organizations, which is crucial for driving long-term organizational sustainability.
The event also featured the participation of ICMAB’s Past President Mohammed Salim FCMA, Secretary Hasnain Thoufiq Ahmed FCMA, and Council Member Mohammed Jahangir Alam FCMA.
