The Ministry of Commerce has formed an election board and election appeal board for the upcoming executive council election of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the country’s apex trade organisation, for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 terms.
Md Abdur Razzak, additional secretary (IIT) at the Commerce Ministry, has been appointed as the chairman of the FBCCI Election Board, said a press release issued here on Tuesday.
The other members of the election board are Joint Secretary (IIT-2 branch) Mursheda Zaman and Joint Secretary (WTO-3 branch) Mustafizur Rahman.
Meanwhile, the election appeal board will be chaired by Md Abdur Rahim Khan, additional secretary (export). The other members of the board are Joint Secretary (administration-2 branch) Tanvir Ahmed and Deputy Secretary (export-4 branch) Md Razzaqul Islam.
